Hi friend,

A few days ago, I received this on Twitter (or X, whatever):

Imagine making $8000/m from $100/m.

That's CRAZY, to say the least.

I asked him 6 questions on how he did this so I can share his insights with all of you here. Thank you Sushrut for letting me share this with everyone.

Q. Can you tell me about your journey?

I graduated in 2021 with a CS degree, got a job as a developer but was making only ₹27K ($322) a month.

I come from a lower-middle class background and had to run my family as soon as I got the job. ₹27K wasn't cutting it, so I started looking for content writing jobs.

The first client I got asked me to write 1 blog daily and paid ₹8K/mo. I took it. That client taught me a lot about blog writing and SEO. By then, I'd also started building my brand on X. Then started outreach and landed a few more clients. When I hit 10K followers on X, I got an offer to build a brand on X. From there I transitioned into this space and started my agency last year in July.

Q. What kind of projects do you do?

Now, I focus on my agency and provide ghostwriting services on Li and X to B2B founders and other creators.

Q. How did you get brands across the world to work with you?

At first, it was my brand on Twitter and a lot of cold outreach. Now, it's a mix of inbound and outbound efforts.
​

Q. What was the role of personal branding in this?

All of my high-ticket clients have come only from my brand on X and Li.

So yes, personal branding had a BIG role.

Q. Where do you build your brand? What's your process?

Built my brand first on X and now focusing on LinkedIn.

My process at first was to talk about what I was learning. Super simple. No fancy strategy or plan. I learned and talked about it.

Now, it's a mix of what I'm learning, what I'm doing with the agency, and the processes I use to serve my clients.

Q. Any recommendations for someone who is starting out?

Everyone has everything they need to start out. On YouTube, LinkedIn, X, everywhere.

The only advice or recommendation I want to give beginners is -

"Nothing comes overnight, you have to put in the work. You see people like Justin Welsh, Niharikaa, and Ankur and compare yourself to them. That won't do. You need to pick 1-2 key things and do ONLY those for the next 100 days. Iterations after iterations."
