SHS #108: How to Be Financially Independent in the Creator Economy

1. Understand that money is a mindset

If you say or believe that:

You will NOT make it no matter what.

My suggestion - unlearn this BS and reframe your mind. It controls everything. If your actions don't align with your mindset, it'll backfire. Now, let's start.

2. Don't trade time for money.

Time is finite. Start with active income (giving value), and then passive-fy it (productise solutions).

3. Make money a consequence

Instead of jumping on the bandwagon to make money online quickly, spend time excelling in your skill instead.

Make money a consequence of damn good work. Focus your energy on excellence instead of reward.

4. Build what people want

You don't make money by wanting to make money. You make a solution for issues your audience is facing. Then they click 'buy'. Do this by...

5. Engaging

Don't just create content and carry on with your day.

Engage with others until they become your audience.

Engage with your audience.

Continue engaging with others too. Discuss their problems, and create solutions.

6. Improve.

Your products

Your content

Your art

Everything

Else you'll become stagnant.

Apply The:

• Books your read
• Podcasts you listen to
• Motivational fluff you consume

All of that is nothing unless you apply it

7. Make friends

Engage with cool people Share your ideas Take feedback Learn They've kept me sane through the creator economy hurdles.
